Pure Calisthenics has divided its blog posts into six major categories, out of which
(Calisthenics: A Lifestyle) will play a significant role in the growth of the calisthenics community. This post is an explanation about to the category and to brief you about the content that will be posted under it.
Whenever I get asked about my profession, I usually reply by saying, "I am a fitness coach & a calisthenics athlete". The next natural reaction of the person has always been "calis? what? calisthe-tics? what is it? (voh kya hota hai?)"
Excluding all the active practitioners & members of the calisthenics community, not many people in India know about the effectiveness of calisthenics. No doubt the sport is spreading like wildfire among the youths but currently, it has not yet recognized at a root level by the population of India. When it comes to fitness, people still think of gyms, fitness stations, machines, treadmills etc. Most of us are not aware that our body can reach their highest potential without these pieces of equipment. They are simply unaware of how body-weight training can unlock their body in unimaginable ways. They have not yet recognized that the best way to build strength, control, balance & overall fitness is through the means of body-weight training & calisthenics. Below are a few well-recognized athletes of the calisthenics community. These have been the practitioners of calisthenics for years now.
Calisthenics can be called an extension of body-weight training where you can completely bulletproof your body. You can make yourself pain-free, strong, agile & prepare your body such that it supports your activities until your last breath. Visiting the doctors' will be rare after adopting the calisthenics lifestyle. Health will flourish & your energy levels will hit the sky.
