His Journey in His Words

I started working out in public garden. When I was 9 years old, playing like other children. We played a popular game in garden called "iron iron" means "pakdam pakdai" but only on the bars , if your legs touches the ground you're out. We used to play that game everyday which improved my grip strength, this game needed a good control on the lower body which worked on my core muscles. So this is how my journey started. Later on I was curious about new skills and daily I invent some new skill on the bars, daily inventing new moves. After 4 years of this training I came across a video of "frank medrano" and I was totally amazed, because everything that he was doing I could already do it. That was the moment when I got to know about calisthenics. I was already doing calisthenics since 4 years but I never knew it. After knowing about calisthenics I searched more about it, take more knowledge. and start practicing. Still practicing in that public garden. 2-3 years more practice then want to go for the gym. And I joined the gym but after 1 month I feel bored in the gym .bcz I'm habitual with the outdoor workout. So quit gym, After this my 12th science completed. And joined physiotherapy. Currently I'm in the final year BPT. Treating patients with different musculoskeletal problems And part time giving personal training to athletes.

Future Goals in Calisthenics

I just want to spread calisthenics all our the world, because I know the beauty of calisthenics.

I don't have any personal goal for calisthenics but as a sports physiotherapist & calisthenic athlete I want to promote calisthenics.

Words of Wisdom for Beginners

The most important thing is BASICS. Master your basics, like pull , push , core , legs.

Second most important thing is "knowledge". Read books on muscles physiology , how exercise affect our body, basics about strength, power & endurance or how to create exercise protocol etc.

Hardik Rathod is a living example of what the human body can achieve without any kinds of external supplementation and enhancement products. He has simply trained with his own bodyweight and it reflects in his ability to control his own body. He has not yet been a participant in any of the calisthenics events but we are looking forward to seeing him compete in future events. You can connect with Hardik Rathod here & visit his 3.2 million times viewed Youtube video here.
